PDF2MD Terms of Service

1. Service Description

PDF2MD is an online PDF document conversion tool designed to help users convert PDF files to Markdown format, aiming to improve academic research efficiency.

2. User Registration and Account

2.1 Users need to register an account to use PDF2MD services.

2.2 When registering, users must provide a valid email address and username. Currently, we only accept email registrations from the following domains: gmail.com, 163.com, 126.com, qq.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com, icloud.com, yahoo.com, foxmail.com, me.com.

2.3 Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts, including safeguarding their login passwords.

2.4 We reserve the right to delete user accounts if users provide false information or violate the terms of use.

3. File Upload and Conversion

3.1 Users can upload PDF files for conversion, but individual file size must not exceed 200MB.

3.2 Users should only upload files that they have the right to use and convert legally.

3.3 The system will automatically process the uploaded PDF files and convert them to Markdown format.

3.4 We reserve the right to review uploaded files and delete related files and take appropriate measures if illegal or inappropriate content is found.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

4.1 We will properly safeguard users' uploaded files and generated Markdown files.

4.2 We will not use users' file content for any other purposes.

4.3 We reserve the right to delete relevant data if abnormal data or illegal content is discovered.

5. Usage Restrictions

5.1 Users must not upload PDF files containing illegal, infringing, or inappropriate content.

5.2 Users must not abuse this service, such as frequently uploading large numbers of files or performing automated batch processing.

5.3 If users are found to be engaging in illegal or abusive behavior, we have the right to immediately terminate the user's service and delete their account and all related data.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 The copyright of the PDF files uploaded by users belongs to the original authors.

6.2 The right to use the converted Markdown files belongs to the users, but users should comply with the copyright regulations of the original PDF files.

7. Service Changes and Termination

7.1 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the service at any time.

7.2 If users violate this agreement, we have the right to suspend or terminate their accounts and clear all data associated with those accounts.

8. Disclaimer

8.1 We do not guarantee the accuracy of the conversion results, and users should verify the converted content themselves.

8.2 We are not responsible for any direct or indirect losses caused by the use of this service.

8.3 We do not assume any legal responsibility for the content uploaded by users. Users should be fully responsible for the content they upload.

9. Agreement Modifications

We may modify this user agreement from time to time, and the modified agreement will be published on the website. Continued use of this service indicates that you agree to accept the modified agreement.
